  1. Slip 'N Slide toward the weekend!

    Slide-the-CityHaven't quite found the right way to beat the heat this summer? With July coming to a close and the "dog days" of summer ahead, we may have found your go-to spot! A giant water slide is coming to downtown Manhattan, Foley Square, for three Saturdays in a row, beginning this weekend!Indulging in this refreshingly glorious way to cool off (270-feet of water slide), is part of Slide in the City's partnership with Summer Streets, the annual festival where the people of the city take over their own streets!  Stretching from Central Park to the Brooklyn Bridge, people in NYC can enjoy their own backyard for walking, biking, partying and now sliding!All activities, stretching 7 miles along Park Avenue (and connecting streets), are free and open to participants of all ages from 7am-1pm! For a ride on the water slide register ahead of time online. Then get ready to slip, splash, slide and most importantly cool off!

  5. Gallow Greens Encourages a Magical Adventure

    The McKittrick Hotel, known for Sleep No More, is opening its rooftop to the elementary school set. Enter Gallow Greens, the rooftop brunch destination, and you are no longer in Manhattan, but in a fairy tale complete with potions and gardening galore.
