One thing we never miss when the weather gets nice is the roof garden at the MET, a spectacular view and a nice nibble in our quest for culture. We’ve been locked up for too long, so it’s time for us to see what’s new and exciting in the world of art. Alex Da Corte’s sculpture, featured now on the roof of the MET has great cross-generational appeal. The blue (REALLY) Big Bird hanging on a moon, ladder in hand (in case you wonder how he got there), affixed to an Alexander Caulder-inspired sculpture is both surprising and delightful. Da Corte is a master at taking on new characters, his art giving nods to a range of pop culture icons.  We love this giant blue Muppet overlooking the city, both alive and surveying life as we get back on track.
